General Information

On May 2nd, 2010, Quebec City will be the host of the seventh edition of the Quebec City International Half-Marathon. This international running event is offering the occasion to discover another face of the city.

     

The Maizerets Domain, the streets of Quebec City and the Beauport Bay are the backdrop of this event. On Sunday, runners and walkers will have the choice of four races: a 30K, a half-marathon, a 10K Race and a Kid's Race of 2 kilometers.

Starting at 9 am, a brunch will be served to all participants.
On the menu: crepes, french bread, eggs, ham, cheese, fruits, toasts,
bagels, orange juice, coffee and more!

    • FREE for participants
    • $15 for family and friends

    • Cards are on sale at the Half-Marathon Office
    • A limited number of cards will also be available at the entrance
T-Shirts and Medals

All participants registered to one of the events will receive the official souvenir T-shirt of the Quebec City International Half-Marathon. All participants will receive a medal for completing the course.

Gifts among all participants

Gifts will be drawn among all participants registered to one of the events. To know if you are a winner, look for the blue board in the arrival area.

Gathering site before the start and finish site

The morning of the race, starting at 6 am, participants are invited to gather at the Maizerets Domain from where they will be shuttled to their respective starting site. Toilets, water and coffee will be available.

The finish site, for all events, is located in front of the Maizerets Manor, where the Spring Brunch is also located just behind. 

IMPORTANT
There are shuttles to get to the starting lines.
On Sunday, be sure to arrive early, especially if you want to register.
The last bus leaves at 7:15 am.

Participants transportation

All participants will be shuttled to their respective starting line from the Maizerets Domain.
The last bus leaves at 7:15 am.

The start of the Kids Run being close to the finish line, transportation is not necessary.

Starting sites

The start of the Kids Run is on Montmorency Boulevard, just next to the Maizerets Domain.
The other starts are on Sainte-Anne Boulevard.

Personal Belongings

On every starting sites, buses will be available for participant to leave their personal belongings in a small bag. This bag must be clearly identified using the coupon given with your bib number. You can pick-up your bag at the finishing area. The buses will be located in front of the Maizerets Manor until 1 pm.

Showers

Showers are not available.

Number of participants

The number of participants for all events is
limited to 2 000.

NOTE: In the light of the registrations received as of April 1st, this limit will probably be reached.

Sanction

The Quebec City International Half-Marathon is sanctioned by the Québec Athletics Federation. The event is also a member of the Run Quebec City Series.

The average weather for that period is around 11°C in the morning.
